Central Michigan education launches career opportunities
A solid academic reputation, state-of-the-art facilities and friendly atmosphere make Central Michigan University a top choice for students. The university's wealth of resources and its size - about 18,000 on-campus undergraduate and graduate students - offer the academic advantages of a larger university with the personal attention provided by a smaller private school.

Since its founding in 1892, more than 140,000 students have graduated from Central. Today, the university offers degree programs on the bachelor's, master's, specialist's and doctoral levels. In addition to its music programs, the university offers more than 150 undergraduate programs and more than 60 graduate programs.

School of Music alumni have found that the knowledge and experience they gained on CMU's campus have offered them the opportunities and experiences they needed to launch their professional careers. Graduates of School of Music programs hold performance and teaching positions across the state and around the world.

"CMU was a very influential part of my life," says Randall Hawes, bass trombonist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. "I'll always feel connected."
