2014 promises to be another exciting season of Chippewa Football and the best ever for the Chippewa Marching Band. Every one of our 285 proud Marching Chips will be working hard to bring the Chippewa Spirit to every game, and to Play With the Heart of a True Champion!

Friday, August 15
9:00 – 11:00 am    All Rank Captains and Section Leaders are cleared to move into their permanent residence hall rooms.*
11:30 – 9:00 pm    Senior Staff/DiSC Follow-up Sessions– Meals & Breaks TBA

Saturday, August 16
9:00 – 11:00 am    All Squad Leaders are cleared to move into  their permanent residence hall rooms.*
                              Senior Staff Meetings Conclude
11:30 – 9:00 pm    Full Staff Leadership Retreat – Meals & Breaks TBA
                              *Refers to students who have been assigned to a Residence Hall for Fall 2014              
Sunday, August 17
8:00 – 11:00 am    Leadership Retreat Concludes
11:00 – 1:00 pm    All percussion and color guard are cleared to move into their permanent residence hall rooms.*
1:30 – 4:30 pm      Rehearsal. Color Guard meet in the Tuma Lobby.
                              Percussion meet in Rm. 155.  Wind Squad Leaders meet in Dietz Hall.
6:00 – 8:30 pm      Rehearsal – Percussion, Color Guard and Wind Squad Leaders.
                              Uniform issue after rehearsal until complete.

Monday, August 18
8:30 – 1:00 pm      Guard and Percussion Rehearsals Remaining Winds are cleared to move into their permanent residence hall rooms.*
8:30 – 9:45 am      Wind Leadership Concluding Session – Score study and basic goals for the day.
10:00 – 11:30 pm  Veteran Winds meet in 156, then to Saunders Field
                                    QUICK Welcome comments and instrument distribution

                              Marching Technique Review – NO Instruments
11:00 am               Rookie Winds meet in Tuma Lobby
                                    QUICK Welcome – Then Outside – NO Instruments
11:30 – 1:00 pm    All Winds – “March Over” & First Rehearsal – Saunders Field
1:00 – 2:00 pm      Lunch together: Cookout!
2:00 – 5:15 pm      Section Rehearsals
      2:00                       Winds Split – Warm up, Begin Tunes, Technique, etc. – LOTS of breakdown
      3:30                       Break, travel to Saunders Field
      3:45                       In SQUADS on the field with instruments working basics
5:30 – 6:45 pm      DINNER TOGETHER – Pizza in the Lobby & PHOTOS

7:00 – 8:30 pm      Section Rehearsals
      7:00                 Winds all together
      7:45                 Squads on Field with instruments working basics
8:30 pm                 Rookie Meeting; Vets: Uniform issue until complete
