Cora Enman
Cora Enman, associate professor of voice, holds a master of music in voice from Michigan State University, where she has also done advanced graduate study.  Her bachelor of arts is from Whitman College, Walla Walla, Washington.  She has extensive teaching experience, having taught voice at Whitman College, Michigan State University and Findlay College before joining Central Michigan University in 1979.  She presently teaches studio voice, class voice, song literature and diction.  A mezzo-soprano, Enman has performed as soloist in Washington, Ohio and Michigan.  She has coached voice with Gean Greenwell and Robert K. Evans; opera with Boris Goldovsky and Wesley Balk.  A specialist in songs by United States composers, she also has an abiding interest in new works for voice and premier performances.  Ms. Enman is active in the National Association of Teachers of Singing.  She is actively teaching body mapping for musicians in a course called “What Every Musician Needs to Know About the Body”, which is based on the Alexander Technique.  The material helps musicians avoid injury and to gain facility with their instruments.
