Summer Music Camp
2008
Please join us for our Annual Summer Music Camp, open to all high
school woodwind, brass, percussion and vocal students. Students interact with CMU faculty members,
perform in chamber ensembles, and participate in full orchestra or
concert band in our state-of-the-art concert halls. While at Music
Camp, students stay in the CMU residence halls, eat in the
residential restaurant and experience college life first hand. The camp is
sponsored by the School of Music and Prof Ed.
At our
summer music camp you can...
-Study with CMU faculty members
-Perform in chamber ensembles
-Study jazz improvisation
-Perform in jazz band
-Perform in orchestra
-Perform in concert band
-Sing in choir
-Take private lessons with CMU faculty members (additional charge applies)
-Study music technology
-Study reed making
-Perform in saxophone choir
-Study music theory
-Visit the Student Activity Center
Private
Instruction Cost
Private instruction is an additional $20 per session. The instruction is offered once per week per student and will be based on availability. Billing information will be sent with your confirmation packet.
Costs:
$425 boarding students
$275 commuting students
